China

How do I even begin to describe this country?

Imagine the unexpected of the unexpected!

It's by far the most difficult country to navigate in my opinion. Yet, it is incredibly rewarding!

Starting from the people, to food, which is my personal favourite among all countries I have ever been to. To the unbelievable history, to the even crazier infrastructure, to mesmerizing nature! All in one country!

Due to the political sceme of the country, most of the applications we rely on the daily basis, do not work in China. Including Instagram, Facebook, Whatsapp, and Google itself. Which means Google Maps does not work either, and haven't even been updated in the past 6 years in China. Oh, and did I mention you won't be able to pay with your regular bank cards? No, not even with Revolut or TransferWise. You will have to download an application, because everyone pays with their phone there. Yes, you CAN pay with cash, but ATM's are rare to find, and most vendors don't even accept cash anymore.

If this is only the beginning of the difficulty list, why should I even bother to go there?

Because it is a complete different world, and many travellers I have talked to, who have been to 100+ countries say China is in their top three. (Including me)

And it is for a reason. And I'm not talking about walking on the Great Wall of China (yes it is more than just unbelievable). BUT! Everything is different, and that is the reason why it is such a wonderful place. You will get to talk to some of the friendliest, and most eager to learn locals, and learn about their culture and history! Even though it's highly likely you won't speak a single word in the same language, they will type in their translator: "Welcome to China dear traveller!"

For some reason I had an assumption that they will be so closed in, and won't really communicate - and they proved me wrong so many times!

And the food... I could write about it for days... it is so different in every single region, yet so flavourful everywhere! And yes, they do eat everything, but don't worry, simple things, like chicken, beef, or vegeterian dishes are still served in almost every restaurant. But if you are open to try something new, you will have the opportunity for that in every place you go to

Oh and nature... If you have seen Avatar... There is on particular scene which wasn't only inspired, but was filmed in China. The floating mountains. No, they do not float in thin air in reality, but, they are not far from it! Just seeing them makes you believe in magic!

I could rave about this country for endless hours... I have just come back a couple months ago, and I'm already planning my trip back...

If you have even the slightest interest to travel to this place, pleace reach out, and let's plan your dream adventure together! I would be honored to help you navigate this marvel!
